The London Worldwide Animation Competition (LIAF) has been showcasing animated nonfiction for over a decade, and was one of many first UK movie festivals to present animated documentary its personal curated programme in 2008. The competition has premiered animated documentaries to packed cinemas, and has additionally explored the boundaries of the shape by its panels, Q&As and vigorous viewers discussions.
In November 2024, LIAF shall be bringing eleven new animated documentary shorts to its viewers, in a screening at London’s Backyard Cinema, and on-line. The screening shall be accompanied by a panel dialogue with main filmmakers and thinkers within the animated documentary discipline.
